Job Summary

The purpose of the Simulation Operations IT Support Specialist is to provide advanced technical support, systems management, and operational oversight for the simulation technology and audiovisual systems within the Interprofessional Educational Center for Health Sciences. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing all simulation-related hardware and software systems, including recording servers, cameras, microphones, control systems, and networking components, to ensure reliable and high-quality delivery of academic training scenarios. The Simulation Operations IT Support Specialist also supports the configuration and operation of simulation capture systems, and collaborates with faculty and staff to align technology solutions with educational goals. This position reports to the Director of Educational Technology and Innovation and plays a critical role in sustaining a robust, scalable, and technically sound simulation environment.
This position will actively advance the college's strategic goals, including to achieve equity in educational outcomes and to support a culturally responsive and service-oriented culture, through individual and departmental efforts.

Qualifications

Essential

Two (2) years of experience providing technical support in instructional, classroom, lab, or simulation environments
Experience developing and providing training related to the use of software or A/V systems.
Experience supporting audiovisual and instructional technology in live or scheduled settings
Ability to follow established procedures while troubleshooting common technical issues
Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students
Preferred

Experience supporting healthcare or clinical simulation environments
Familiarity with video capture, recording, or evaluation tools
Experience working in higher education instructional settings
Basic documentation or training support experience
Comfort supporting multiple technologies in time-sensitive environments
