HR Assistant Position
Penn State Human Resources is seeking temporary HR Assistants to assist our HR Data & Onboarding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn Workday and gain exposure to Human Resources processes. This position will work up to 40 hours a week and will support either HR Shared Services functions.
Responsibilities may include:
Administer employee onboarding activities
Collecting, coordinating, and processing appropriate employment documentation
Provide excellent customer service via telephone and email
Process monthly transactions related to payroll
Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate must demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information; attention to detail; commitment to handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy, and professionalism; and sound judgment and discretion in referring inquiries to other HR staff members or units.
Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
