Job Purpose: Performs assembly of upholstered parts and/or mechanical and electromechanical component parts.
Essential Job Functions:
Understands and use the proper equipment to produce high quality upholstery; which includes performing side sewing.
Analyzes rejected product, communicating this with the Lead Assembler and assisting in the problem resolution.
Assembles various components using hand tools, air tools and measuring equipment ensuring that all specifications are being met to manufacture the highest quality product.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
Required Mechanical aptitude Understanding of safety
Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Experience with machine sewing Previous experience in manufacturing environment Experience with hand tools
Working Conditions: Requires lifting of 35 lbs. occasionally. Will also involve repetitive motion. Work area can be noisy.
