Position Summary
The Metal Stamping Press Operator is responsible for operating high-speed stamping presses to produce quality parts in accordance with production schedules. This role ensures the correct quantity and quality of parts are produced while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor automated metal stamping equipment
Maintain continuous production flow, including changing reels and making minor machine adjustments
Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers and verniers
Read and interpret basic part prints
Collect SPC data and ensure quality standards are met
Stop production as needed to address quality or equipment issues
Complete required documentation, including log sheets and labels
Package finished parts according to specifications
Operate auxiliary equipment such as tumblers, bridge machines, and tape machines
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Work overtime as needed based on business demands
