Job Description
Part-Time Weekend Front Desk Receptionist (Per Diem) at The Atrium
Pay:
Starting at $18.50 per hour (higher based on experience)
Job Type:
Part-time / Per Diem
Schedule:
Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Must have flexibility to pick up additional shifts, including evenings and holidays, as needed
Job Summary
The Atrium, our independent living community at The Cedars, is seeking a dependable and flexible Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role includes a consistent weekend schedule, along with the ability to pick up additional shifts to support staffing needs.
As the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, the receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for older adults.
Key Responsibilities
Greet residents, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
Provide administrative and clerical support
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Send and receive faxes
Photocopy and organize documents
Process payments for meals and salon services
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
Perform additional office duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of front desk or receptionist experience
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills: familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
Flexible availability and willingness to pick up additional shifts on short notice
Interest in working with older adults and supporting their independence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings
