Position Summary
The Sheeter Assistant supports all tasks related to the daily operation of the Sheeter. This role assists with equipment setup, production support, quality checks, and routine maintenance while adhering to all safety, quality, and compliance standards, including SQF and company policies. This is a training position designed to develop skills in Sheeter operations and provide operational support to ensure continuous production.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Assist with the daily operation of the Sheeter with minimal supervision
Accurately complete required documentation and production records
Support make?ready activities for Sheeter equipment
Review sheeting job information in Shop Floor systems
Enter appropriate job details into the Sheeter Attribute Sheet
Measure roll width and verify caliper according to sheeting specifications
Assist with proper job setup in accordance with Shop Floor sheeting requirements
Support delivery setup and ensure the machine is clean prior to production
Perform quality checks during production runs
Complete work order forms and maintenance documentation
Assist with daily Sheeter maintenance activities
Maintain Bale Room operations as needed
Provide operational support to allow continuous Sheeter operation, including coverage during breaks and lunch periods
Assist in reducing downtime related to roll changes and load changes
Participate in training to support the development of additional Sheeter Operators
Qualifications & Requirements
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand the sheeting process from start to finish
Ability to work independently while following established procedures
Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Working knowledge of Windows based software.
Pallet Jack Certification
Forklift Certification
