Accounting Data Entry Specialist (ERP Migration Support)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Data Entry Specialist to support our Accounting team during an upcoming ERP system migration. This role is highly data-entry intensive, focused on copying, pasting, sorting, matching, and validating accounting data as it is transitioned from one system to another. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, comfortable working with large volumes of data, and has prior exposure to accounting or accounts payable data.
Experience working with accounting systems, vendor records, or accounts payable data is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-volume data entry related to accounting and financial records
Support data migration from a legacy system into a new ERP system
Copy, paste, sort, and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Perform 3-way matching (Vendor Invoice, Purchase Order, and Receiving Documents)
Assist with daily invoicing functions
Match and reconcile vendor data and accounting records
Support vendor maintenance, including updates to vendor information
Communicate with vendors as needed to resolve discrepancies
Assist with accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing and sales tax data
Maintain organized electronic and physical records
Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Highly organized and able to manage repetitive tasks efficiently
Experience with data entry (accounting or financial data preferred)
Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes
Ability to sort, match, and validate large datasets
Comfortable working in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines in a structured environment

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
