Entry Level Painter Technician

Perform skilled work in preparing metal and other surfaces on aviation equipment for painting. Will be applying lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane and epoxy with spray guns and other painting equipment to aircraft materials. Follows prescribed written work instructions and methods in accomplishment of assignments. Eventually will be trained to build and performs tests on systems and components to determine operability, quality, performance, and suitability.
Painter is responsible for proper preparation of surface and application of painting material to a variety of surfaces.
Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation.
Education and/or Experience
High School Graduate
Technical or Military School Training
1 Year general experience
