Golf Course Starter/Marshal
The golf course starter/marshal works in outside golf operations and with the rest of the golf staff to assure guests have a positive and memorable experience. Primary responsibilities include; patrolling the golf course throughout the day, maintaining pace of play, starting groups off the first tee at their scheduled tee time and ensuring groups are teeing off in a timely manner. The starter/marshal will also keep an eye on the practice facility, communicating needs to the rest of the golf staff. The golf course starter/marshal must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service to all guests. Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Resort and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with guests at a high level.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Responsible for starting groups in a timely manner at their scheduled tee time.
Responsible for maintaining pace of play on the golf course. This requires an understanding of the GPS system, Visage, which is used to monitor pace of specific groups and individual golf carts.
Provide a high level of customer service to all Club Members, Homeowners, Resort guests and Employees in a friendly and professional manner, while adhering to Resort guidelines and policies.
Maintain order and cleanliness of working areas, as well as guest-facing areas.
Monitor pace of play by utilizing Visage (GPS Software) to coordinate with the course Marshal to ensure proper pace of play is maintained.
Responsible for charging and maintaining the marshal golf cart used for that day, making sure it is in marshal mode during shift and switched back to normal mode after the shift.
Understanding of tee sheet, tee time intervals and GPS system.
Tracking/reporting stock of supplies necessary to complete tasks in the cart barn and driving range operations.
Cooperate with the rest of the golf staff as needed to provide the best possible guest experience.
Requirements
Flexible working availability including weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Detail Oriented
Must enjoy working and interacting with the public
Maintain positive working attitude and follow TamFam values
Must be 18 years of age
Clean driving record
Education and/or Experience
Prior work golf course front of house experience a plus. Will train.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
