Dispatcher Position

Our team ensures that individuals with medical or mobility needs reach their appointments on time and with care. We're seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to help us manage and coordinate our growing fleet and support our mission of dependable service.
Job Summary
The Dispatcher will be responsible for organizing and directing transportation routes, coordinating schedules, and ensuring clear and professional communication with drivers, clients, and facilities. This is a vital role that keeps our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule, assign and monitor daily transportation schedules and routes
Dispatch drivers in real-time using dispatching and GPS software
Handle incoming service requests and updates from clients or facilities
Communicate changes or delays to drivers and clients professionally
Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining service quality
Address issues such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or rescheduling needs
Work closely with management to optimize fleet performance
Communicate with drivers in real time to ensure route efficiency and patient safety
Use dispatching software to manage trip assignments and track vehicle locations
Coordinate with healthcare facilities, patients, and caregivers
Handle incoming calls and resolve scheduling issues or delays
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all safety protocols
Provide excellent customer service to clients and partner organizations
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
1+ year of experience in dispatch or transportation coordination
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with scheduling/dispatching software (icabbi, RouteGenie, MediRoutes, etc.) is a plus
Basic computer skills and comfort with GPS tracking tools
Knowledge of local and state transportation guidelines is preferred
Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented
Preferred Skills
Experience in passenger ground transportation, NEMT experience a plus
Bilingual (Spanish or other language) a plus
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and passenger safety protocols
