We’re partnered with a stable, well‑run manufacturer in the Sunbury area that’s looking to add an Assistant Accounting Manager to support the close, partner closely with operations, and act as a true extension of the Accounting Manager/Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations


• Partner with plant and operations leadership on inventory, cost accounting, and variances


• Help strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation


• Review staff accountant work and assist with coaching and development


• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)


• Exposure to inventory and cost accounting in a plant environment


• Prior experience reviewing or mentoring staff is a plus


• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar)


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA a plus but not required

Compensation and location

• $80,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience


• On‑site with potential hybrid flexibility


• Sunbury, OH (easy commute from Delaware, Westerville, Polaris, Johnstown)
