This is an ideal opportunity for a Controller or Accounting & FP&A leader who enjoys working close to the numbers, has experience in asset‑based or financing environments, and values ownership, visibility, and impact over managing large teams.

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Coordinate with external CPA firm for annual audit and tax filings
- Prepare sales tax and other required regulatory filings

- Support asset‑level accounting, depreciation, and portfolio performance analysis

- Develop meaningful financial reporting packages, KPIs, and dashboards for ownership
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support pricing, portfolio decisions, and growth initiatives
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and develop two direct reports (cash management and financial reporting)
- Provide mentorship and hands‑on guidance while remaining actively involved in execution
- Partner closely with the CEO and interact with clients as needed
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to ownership in a small, entrepreneurial environment
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience as a Controller or in a role with full ownership of the accounting function

- True ownership of the finance and accounting function
- Direct visibility and partnership with the CEO and ownership
- Long transition period to ensure success
- Stable, profitable company with a strong asset base
- Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a small, trusted leadership role
