About the Accounting Coordinator Role
The organization is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, billing coordination, and internal compliance processes. The Accounting Coordinator will work closely with attorneys, accounting leadership, and internal teams to ensure financial transactions and documentation are handled accurately and on time. This role requires discretion, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced office setting.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Coordinator
• Support full‑cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to maintain timely financial operations
• Assist with billing coordination and internal review procedures tied to client and matter setup
• Perform conflict checks and related administrative reviews aligned with organizational standards
• Partner with attorneys, accounting staff, and operational teams to support firm‑wide initiatives
• Adapt to shifting priorities, provide coverage as needed, and cross‑train across accounting functions
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to process documentation and clean‑up efforts
Qualifications for the Accounting Coordinator
• At least three years of accounting experience; within a professional services or similar environment a (+)
• Familiarity with legal or financial systems such as Adderant, Elite, Clio, or comparable platforms
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally across departments
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage confidential information appropriately
• Comfortable working fully on‑site in a collaborative team environment
