Corporate Controller (Hands‑On) - Bethesda, MD

We are seeking a hands‑on Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations in a growing government contracting environment. This is a true player‑coach role for an experienced GovCon leader who can both drive strategy and personally manage complex accounting within Deltek Costpoint.

Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller

  • - Own the General Ledger and personally lead month‑end and year‑end close

  • - Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations (GAAP/FAR compliant)

  • - Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and job cost accuracy

  • - Calculate and monitor Fringe, Overhead, and G&A rates

  • - Prepare financial statements, flux analysis, and executive reporting




Qualifications for the Corporate Controller

  • - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • - 10+ years accounting experience, including 7+ years in GovCon

  • - Expert‑level Deltek Costpoint experience required

  • - Strong working knowledge of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and GovCon compliance

  • - Hands‑on mindset with the ability to operate at an executive level
