Title: Assistant Casino Controller
Pay: $70,000 – $103,000, depending on experience
Location: Sheridan, OR (On-site)
Overview
The Assistant Controller is a senior accounting and operations leadership role responsible for overseeing audit, compliance, and revenue-related functions. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position serves as the primary second-in-command and manages a team of approximately 15 employees. The role is critical to maintaining financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership within a highly regulated, seven-day operational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily audit functions, including reconciliations and documentation review
- Ensure compliance with regulations
- Oversee accurate booking of revenue, expenses, cash, clearing, and liability accounts
- Prepare, review, and submit audit and compliance reports
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and ensure adherence to internal controls
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of 15
- Identify process improvements and mitigate financial or compliance risks

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong accounting fundamentals, including revenue, cash, clearing, and liability accounts
- Prior supervisory or people management experience
- Experience in a regulated environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style
