Health Care Controller
Columbus, Ohio | Hybrid Schedule
Salary range: $100,000–$120,000

We’re partnering with a mission‑driven healthcare organization in the Columbus area to hire a Controller to oversee accounting operations and support financial leadership. This role offers a hybrid schedule and exposure to complex healthcare finance, with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) experience considered a strong plus.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end close, and financial reporting


• Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements


• Managing audit preparation and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors


• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with leadership


• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, grant requirements, and internal controls


• Leading, mentoring, and developing accounting staff

What they’re looking for:

• Accounting or finance background within healthcare (ambulatory, nonprofit, hospital, or community health settings)


• Experience serving in a controller or senior accounting role


• FQHC, grant accounting, or Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement exposure is a plus


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls


• Hands‑on, collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills
