Overview of the Payroll Accountant role:

• Process and reconcile payroll for a large employee population, ensuring accuracy and timeliness


• Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll to the general ledger


• Manage payroll tax reporting, garnishments, benefit deductions, and employee withholdings


• Support month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations and audit preparation

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Accountant role:

• 3+ years of payroll and accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment


• Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance, payroll reconciliations, and general ledger impact


• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, PeopleSoft, UKG, or similar ERP platforms


• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis

Salary:

$68,000 – $78,000 annually depending on experience | 100% onsite in South Bend, Indiana
