This position will primarily handle full-cycle payroll for a diverse client base while also providing occasional support to the bookkeeping team. Payroll Specialist Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for multiple clients, including tax reporting and compliance


• The Payroll Specialist will prepare and file payroll tax forms (federal, state, and local)


• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely tax deposits


• The Payroll Specialist will communicate directly with clients regarding payroll matters and deadlines


• The Payroll Specialist will provide backup support to the bookkeeping team, assisting with reconciliations and general ledger tasks as needed

Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist Role

• Minimum 2–4 years of payroll processing experience


• Strong knowledge of full-cycle payroll processing, including payroll tax reporting


• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online)


• Experience with Accounting CS strongly preferred


• Some bookkeeping experience is a major plus


• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills


• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client service mindset
