Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role

• Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations


• The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll records, manage deductions, and ensure timely and accurate tax filings


• Respond to payroll inquiries from clients and employees, resolving discrepancies in a timely and professional manner


• The Payroll Specialist will stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations


• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency


• The Payroll Specialist will assist with year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and 1099s

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-client or multi-state experience preferred)


• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements


• High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies


• Excellent communication and customer service skills in a client-facing environment


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
