Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager
- Oversee core oil & gas accounting functions, including general ledger and revenue accounting
- Manage revenue, production accounting, and joint interest billing (JIB)
- Handle oil & gas–specific tax accounting and compliance support
- Coordinate and review work completed by staff accountants
- Serve as a key accounting partner to the Director of Finance
(Note: Financial reporting is handled by the Controller.)
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager
- Experience in oil & gas accounting (upstream preferred)
- Strong background in general accounting and revenue cycle
- Hands‑on experience with JIB, production, and GL accounting
- Prior experience at a similar‑sized oil & gas company
- Management experience not required
