Financial Analyst

CFS, Bethesda, MD, United States

Duration: Full Time

Title: Financial Analyst

Salary: $70,000 – $77,500+ with up to 10% bonus

Location: Bethesda, MD

Office Situation: Hybrid (4 days in-office during training, then 3 days/week)

Why This Opportunity Stands Out:

  • This is one of those rare early-career roles where you’re not just updating spreadsheets - you’re getting real exposure to how deals get done.

  • You’ll sit within a Finance team at a well-established real estate investment and development firm with a large portfolio. The team is collaborative, and hands-on, which means your work will be visible and meaningful from day one.

  • There’s also a very real path for growth here. Leadership has shown they’re willing to invest in people who show initiative and curiosity.

What else makes this stand out:

  • Exposure to acquisitions, financing, and real estate transactions early in your career

  • Strong mentorship and training environment - not a sink-or-swim culture

  • Tight-knit analyst group that collaborates, shares knowledge, and actually enjoys working together

  • Hybrid flexibility after onboarding, company-paid parking + metro access

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and insurance coverage (including employer-paid life/disability), 401K with employer match, generous PTO plus early Friday departures when work is done

  • Flexible schedules + hybrid environment

  • Professional development support and industry memberships

  • Casual office environment (business casual / jeans) plus free coffee, snacks, and beverages

  • Complimentary On-site gym with showers

  • Monthly recognition events, team outings, and company-wide activities plus community involvement and volunteer opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update cash flow models based on leasing activity and property performance

  • Track and report on portfolio performance (occupancy, leasing trends, etc.)

  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and insights

  • Support due diligence for acquisitions, financings, and transactions

  • Assist with budgeting and long-term financial planning

  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance (Accounting acceptable with finance-related experience)

  • At least 1 - 4 years of financial analysis experience (internships count)

  • Strong Excel skills (modeling, data analysis, comfort working with data)

  • Experience with financial analysis and/or forecasting

  • Strong communication skills and ability to think critically

Preferred:

  • Experience in real estate, commercial real estate, or construction-related industry

  • Exposure to financial modeling tools

  • Experience supporting transactions, acquisitions, or due diligence

  • Familiarity with cash flow modeling

If you’re early in your career and looking for a role where you’ll actually learn, grow, and get exposure to real deals - this is worth a conversation.
