Key Responsibilities of the Grant Accountant
- Handle billing processes tied to city contracts, working directly from the general ledger
- Manage data pulls from city system for monthly invoicing
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue tracking for nonprofit programs
- Support audit preparation and documentation
- Manipulate and analyze large financial datasets using advanced Excel skills
Skills/Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in nonprofit finance with responsibility for city contract billing
- Hands-on experience with major nonprofit or city contract systems such as PASSPort or HHS Accelerator
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, SUMIFS, large data sets)
- Strong work ethic, motivation, and commitment to learning and team contribution
