Job Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:

• Support the Operations Finance Manager as an assistant/backup.


• Assist with month-end closing, inventory evaluation, and roll-forward analysis.


• Maintain the inventory relief process for subcomponents and high-level parts.


• Conduct quarterly physical inventories and cycle counts, resolving any variances.


• Set up and update standard costs for manufactured goods.


• Analyze cost accounting data to identify areas for improvement.


• Establish cost structures for business processes, including labor, administration, and shipping.


• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership to enhance cost efficiency and maximize profit.


• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.


• Handle special projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Experience Preferred of the Cost Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.


• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.


• Strong knowledge of financial reporting software and ERP systems.


• Understanding of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards.


• Ability to analyze and interpret data to support business decisions.


• Tech Savvy
