CFS has partnered with a mission‑driven nonprofit organization to staff a Senior Accountant role. This position follows a hybrid work schedule and is based in Boston, with in‑office work during onboarding and flexibility thereafter.
Salary to $95K + discretionary bonus
The Senior Accountant role:
- Support grant and program accounting, including billing, reconciliations, and reporting
- Process bi‑weekly payroll and serve as a payroll subject‑matter resource
- Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with audits, financial statement preparation, and process improvement initiatives
Experience needed for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including grants exposure
- Working knowledge of GASB standards and nonprofit accounting
- Experience with Sage Intacct or other fund accounting systems preferred
