Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented AP Specialist to serve as the primary owner of the accounts payable function. This AP Specialist will “drive the bus,” managing the full AP cycle in a project-based environment.

Responsibilities of AP Specialist

• 
  

  Set up vendors and verify required documentation

  
  


• 
  

  Process invoices, vouchers, and payments for operating and project expenses

  
  


• 
  

  Code transactions to the general ledger

  
  


• 
  

  Manage credit card charges and payments

  
  


• 
  

  Upload ACH and positive pay files to portals

  
  


• 
  

  The AP Specialist will prepare checks for distribution

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with 1099 preparation

  
  

Requirements of AP Specialist

• 
  

  Experience in a project-based accounting atmosphere

  
  


• 
  

  The AP Specialist must have strong attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently as the lead AP Specialist
