Managerial AP Consultant (Immediate Need)


Position: Accounts Payable Manager / Senior AP Consultant
Schedule: 8:00–4:00 PM or 9:00–5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite; option for 5 days onsite)


Overview


Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounts Payable professional to step into a high-impact role during a critical systems and process transition. This role will take ownership of a business-critical AP function in a high-volume, multi-system environment, supporting ongoing payment operations while helping bring structure, clarity, and stability during change.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee weekly payment processing ranging from $2M–$10M in a high-volume AP environment

  • Manage vendor relationships and end-to-end payment workflows

  • Support the transition from Concur to Ramp, an AI-driven AP automation platform

  • Ensure payment accuracy, controls, and compliance during system and process migration

  • Handle high-volume invoice processing

  • Create, document, and refine SOPs for incomplete or undocumented processes

  • Partner closely with the Treasurer on cash forecasting, banking activity, and vendor payments

  • Collaborate with an external AP consultant leading process and system improvements


Required Qualifications



  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • Strong Excel skills, including working with large data sets

  • Tech-savvy with experience using automated or cloud-based AP systems

  • Solid understanding of how AP activity impacts the general ledger

  • Ability to step in quickly with minimal training and bring structure to undefined processes

  • Exceptional attention to detail in a high-volume, accuracy-sensitive environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Accounting degree (Associate’s required; Bachelor’s preferred)

  • Experience with Ramp or similar AP automation tools (i.e. Tipalti, BILL, Bill.com, Stampli, Airbase, and Brex)

  • Background in process improvement, system implementations, or ERP transitions

  • Exposure to multi-entity, high-growth, or acquisition-heavy organizations
