Description
This role requires that you process RTV molds and inject them with polyurethane materials. Once cured, the parts are demolded and technicians perform primary and secondary operations. Due to quality standards, a high level of attention to detail is required, Cast Urethane is part art, part science, this role is suited to those who like to work with their hands and problem solve. This role is based in the Advanced Manufacturing Services team, reporting to the Cast Urethane Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Pour cast urethanes and silicone into molds to produce prototype models, end-use production parts, to high quality appearance models.
Troubleshoot issues as required.
Thorough understanding of all part finishing techniques and the ability to complete tasks with moderate supervision in a timely manner.
Understand and appreciate process flow, timing, and materials
Communicate project timelines and issues with the Casting Manager
Maintain a clean and safe environment as per protocols
Skills and Requirements
HS degree or GED required
Excellent hand and eye coordination required to perform highly detailed work.
Must be capable of establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with others in a team environment.
Ability to work well with employees from diverse cultures.
Willingness to attend company sponsored trainings and/or educational seminars.
Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality record.
Being able to solve complex problems within a passion-filled environment
Experience in maintaining efficient production shop, including equipment, tools, and materials.
Relevant Citizenship or Existing Work Authorization
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
