Responsible for the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice.
Float Shift differentials - Per diem and shifts starting at 7:00a $2.50/hour, shifts starting at 3:00p $4.50/hour, shifts starting at 7:00p $8.00/hour
Job Description
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
2. Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
3. Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
4. Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
5. Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
All responsibilities are essential job functions.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
2. BLS through either American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is a requirement for every RN within 30 days of hire.
3. ACLS through American Heart Association (AHA) required in select areas (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
4. PALS through American Heart Association (AHA) required in select areas (PACU, ED) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
5. NRP Advanced Provider through American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) required in select areas (Maternity) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
