Job Description
The College of Pharmacy is recruiting for a Fiscal Assistant II or III. This is within the fiscal unit of the College of Pharmacy's Shared Service Center. This position supports the departments and college by processing fiscal transactions, networking and establishing contacts in the core offices, a “subject matter” expert concerning college and UF's fiscal policies and core office procedures, following up on pending items and providing quality customer service. This is a high volume unit, the employee in this position must be able to multi-task, be organized, be able to problem solve, be a self-starter, and abide by college, university, state and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
Duties
Transactions Processing: Process Travel Authorizations (TA), Expense Reports (ER) and generic reimbursements. Process voucher payments in MyUF Market. Analyze, reconcile and approve Pcard charges for customer units based on chartfield information, descriptions, explanations and documentation provided by the customers. Process Requisitions in MyUF Market. Process journal entries such as expense to expense (E2Es) and expense to revenue (E2Rs). Review all voucher and journal entries for accuracy. Responsible for making deposits for the assigned units/accounts.
Research, analyze, and resolve general accounts transaction problems: “Subject matter expert” concerning fiscal policies and procedures of the college and UF. Stay updated on core office changes to policies, procedures, and systems. Network with core offices to establish relationships. Provide input on processes, systems, and workflows relating to fiscal matters. Explain and apply complex policies and procedures.
Reports: Review and work monthly reconciling reports, pull and work monthly fiscal reports, work with research and finance units concerning close out reports (monthly and fiscal year end closing).
Meet with faculty and department staff: Meet with faculty and staff to solve any fiscal problems, make sure that they understand the SSC processes and that the fiscal unit understand their needs.
Expected Salary
Level II: $23.95 - $25.39/hour
Level III: $25.87 - $27.30/hour
