IT Project Coordinator Intern (2026-45)
Overview
The IT Project Coordinator Intern supports the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects in alignment with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Information Systems leadership priorities. This role assists Project Managers with day-to-day project activities, including tracking timelines, documenting meeting outcomes, coordinating communications, and maintaining project documentation. The intern plays a key role in ensuring projects stay organized, on schedule, and aligned with defined objectives.
About the Internship
This internship is expected to run from approximately May through August and follows a Monday through Friday schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The role provides hands-on experience supporting real-world IT projects within a structured PMO environment. This is a hybrid role based out of the AAA’s headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. The hourly rate for this position is $25.
Qualifications
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Project is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to document processes, issues, and project updates clearly and accurately
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
Eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
Ability to understand and apply project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
