Overview
A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be a full-scope Controller with job costing and cost accounting experience. Experience using Plex software is required. The Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire role.
Controller Core Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, job costing, cost accounting, and financial reporting
Manage monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Prepare and analyze Work in Progress (WIP) and percentage-of-completion reports
Maintain inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and job cost reviews with operations leadership
Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash-related activities
Support annual audits and ensure GAAP compliance
Provide financial analysis and Plex system support to leadership
Maintain internal controls and safeguard financial data
Assist with special projects as needed
Controller Required Skills & Experience
Strong job costing and cost accounting background
Required experience with Plex ERP
Solid understanding of GAAP
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
