Hospitality Operations Intern
Arc Broward, a well-established accredited, non-profit organization based in Sunrise, FL is currently searching for hospitality services interns from our Hospitality Operations Training program to join our growing family.
For more than 60 years Arc Broward has worked hand-in-hand with our community, changing how people with disabilities and other life challenges are embraced and included. This critical work ensures that people with disabilities, not only live, learn, work, and play in their communities, but more importantly, thrive. Arc Broward operates at 9 locations and provides 21 programs throughout Broward County, including its two pioneering Social Enterprises - Arc Educates and Arc Culinary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
Roles will include duties in various departments of the hotel including but not limited to housekeeping, banquet services, the caf, laundry room, and/or the lobby
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
Consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of resort property units
Remove trash from units, lobby, and other areas as designated
Cleaning units including but not limited to bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and closets
Clean and stock customer eating area(s), workstations, and equipment
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage closets
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
Receive inventory, move and lift food and beverage products and supplies
Sort, wash, dry, press and fold textile items
Remove stains from items using the appropriate procedures
Customer Service: Displays behaviors and attitude that cultivates and maintains relationships with staff, trainees, vendors, customers, and hotel co-workers.
Safety: Maintains safe, secure, legal, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing sanitation. Ensures sanitation of the hotel units and all service areas.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
High School diploma or Equivalent
Current trainee in the Hospitality Operations Training program
