Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily, following proper procedures and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness of designated office spaces according to policy.
Use appropriate cleaning agents for assigned tasks.
Ensure housekeeping carts are locked and stored correctly.
Keep janitor closets and carts neat and organized at all times.
Complete daily cleaning logs accurately and submit them to supervisors.
Report any issues related to cleaning, equipment, safety, or facility maintenance promptly to supervisors or Plant Operations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and numeracy skills required. Willingness to learn additional tasks and responsibilities is essential.
Experience
0-3 months of housekeeping or floor care experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
Certification/License
Not applicable.
Mental/Physical Requirements
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Organizational skills to manage work efficiently.
Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.
Basic computer skills.
Endurance for long periods of standing and walking.
Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and operate housekeeping equipment.
Working Conditions
May encounter unpleasant odors, body fluids, and potential exposure to infectious diseases. Work environment includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet or slippery floors. Some areas may contain medications.
