Summer Seasonal Position

Excellent summer job opportunity with the City of Glendale working lawn and grounds for the Department of Public Works. No evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is responsible for the daily maintenance, upkeep, and operations of City streets, grounds, open spaces, public areas, buildings, and properties for the Department of Public Works.
Located at: 5909 N. Milwaukee River Parkway Glendale, WI.
Duties/Responsibilities

Duties: Typical duties for seasonal positions include landscaping, painting, facility cleaning, litter removal, and general maintenance in Utilities, Streets, Parks and/or Water Departments.
Reports to: Superintendent or designee.
Abilities Required: There is a need to stand, sit, stoop, bend, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects (up to 100 pounds with assistance) and perform other similar actions during the workday. Performs moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.

General Requirements:
Must be age 18 or older
Must have a high school diploma, GED or HSED by June 2024
Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving record
Environmental Requirements: Work is done mainly outdoors and may require frequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Abilities Required: There is a need to stand, sit, stoop, bend, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects (up to 100 pounds with assistance) and perform other similar actions during the workday. Performs moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.
Sensory Requirements: Tasks requires perception and discrimination in the sensory areas of: visual, color, sound, odor, depth, and texture.
