Overview
We’re seeking a client-facing
Construction Project Manager
to support
fiber long-haul Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects
for hyperscaler-related programs and carrier clients. This role is OSP-heavy— long-haul builds, conduit routes, and splicing —and will partner closely with internal teams plus vendor/contractor crews to drive safe, on-time, high-quality delivery.
What You’ll Do
Lead and coordinate project teams within a designated area, including vendors and contractors.
Define project scope/objectives and build detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
Manage tasks to ensure on-time completion; oversee
capacity, production, and cycle time
expectations.
Lead internal program/status meetings and implement changes needed to maintain timelines.
Attend customer meetings, provide comprehensive status reporting, and resolve conflicts/issues.
Ensure all work is accurately maintained in a project tracking system.
Develop and improve processes/procedures to streamline workflows and increase quality.
Identify innovative ways to reduce cycle time and improve execution.
Retrieve, analyze, transform, and report data to support business intelligence.
Support
budgets and P&L ; create a
weekly forecast .
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of Project Management experience (telecom construction preferred).
Strong
OSP / ISP project management
experience, including end-to-end delivery of large telecommunications projects.
Ability to provide technical and analytical guidance to a project team.
High accountability in deadline-driven environments; self-motivated and technically savvy.
Excellent verbal/written communication; strong organization and attention to detail.
Flexible and able to adapt quickly to shifting schedules and priorities.
Strong customer service orientation; ability to maintain professional tact in fast-paced environments.
Advanced experience with
SQL, MS Excel, Visio, and Google Earth .
Experience with fiber optic/carrier/collocation products and services (operations, engineering, or implementation).
Experience with
FTTx and/or Small Cell .
Preferred: Relationship management experience (government/city officials, clients, etc.).
Preferred: Civil and/or telecommunications construction background.
Nice to have:
SiteTracker or PowerBI .
Education
Bachelor’s degree typically preferred in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Building Science.
