Project Manager – Construction
Northern Illinois
Up to $130k DOE + Benefits
A well-established General Contractor is looking to add an experienced
Project Manager
to support a strong pipeline of work across Northern Illinois. This role will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
Manage projects from preconstruction through completion
Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams
Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Ensure compliance with local and state regulations
Track project progress, milestones, and financial performance
Maintain high standards of safety and quality
Lead project closeout and handover processes
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in construction project management
Background in commercial or similar project types preferred
Strong understanding of construction processes and compliance
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple workstreams
Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
