Our engineering department operates at the intersection of complex mechanical design, embedded software, and RF signals exploitation. We are looking for a professional with 5+ years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment where innovation must meet immediate operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Precision Packaging:
Lead the design and structural packaging for ruggedized systems containing integrated electrical and mechanical components.
Thermal Analysis:
Execute and interpret detailed thermal simulations to ensure hardware reliability under stringent military-grade environmental conditions.
Lifecycle Documentation:
Generate comprehensive build-to drawings and technical data packages (TDPs).
Supply Chain Collaboration:
Partner with vendors to resolve performance or reliability issues and oversee the procurement of custom-machined parts.
Cross-Functional Optimization:
Collaborate directly with hardware designers to optimize circuit card layouts, focusing specifically on heat dissipation and thermal mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Required:
Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Technical Expertise:
Strong mastery of
electronics packaging and cooling solutions
is essential.
Software Proficiency:
Expert-level use of CAD and analysis tools (SolidWorks preferred).
Engineering Fundamentals:
Deep understanding of heat transfer, mechanics of materials, structural dynamics, and vibration.
Manufacturing Standards:
Practical experience with GD&T and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to enhance product quality and streamline production.
Citizenship:
Must be a US Citizen.
Desired:
Experience designing for high-reliability applications and harsh environments, including exposure to extreme temperatures, high vibration, and moisture ingress.
Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks Flow Simulation.
