Site
Safety Manager
to support a large-scale data center construction project in Sparks, Nevada. This role is ideal for a hands-on safety professional with strong construction experience who can lead site safety efforts and drive a proactive, compliance-focused culture in a fast-paced environment.

Duration:
6+ months (with potential for extension)
Local candidates only – no per diem offered
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all on-site safety operations for a complex, multi-trade data center construction project
Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters on site
Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to enforce safety expectations and accountability
Conduct daily field safety walks, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance
Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific safety programs, policies, and procedures
Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative action plans
Track, trend, and report safety metrics, incidents, and leading indicators to leadership
Lead weekly safety meetings and deliver toolbox talks and site-wide safety communications
Support onboarding processes, including new hire orientations and site-specific safety training
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards
Conduct subcontractor safety evaluations and enforce corrective actions when needed
Coordinate emergency response planning and drills, including first aid and evacuation procedures
Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and reports for audits and compliance reviews
Promote and reinforce a behavior-based safety culture across all levels of the project team
Provide coaching and mentoring to field personnel to improve safe work practices
Assist with pre-construction planning and risk assessments as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a Safety Manager or similar role within construction environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical projects (data center experience preferred)
Must hold an active BCSP certification (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP)
Must be located within a commutable distance to Sparks, NV
Ability to influence and engage field teams and subcontractors
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
