People Operations Generalist
We are seeking a People Operations Generalist to serve as the on‑site owner of core People processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and a positive employee experience across the plant. The role manages payroll readiness, recruiting and onboarding execution, and employee engagement initiatives, while serving as the first line of support for employees and frontline leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: ensure a consistent, compliant and positive experience; support recruiting processes; conduct screening interviews; coordinate subsequent interviews; ensure completion and accuracy of pre‑employment and onboarding requirements; execute onboarding processes; identify gaps and recommend improvements.

Payroll Readiness & Timekeeping Ownership: own execution, accuracy, timeliness of all site‑level payroll inputs; ensure timecards reviewed and approved; monitor payroll timelines; audit timekeeping data; confirm schedules; partner with supervisors to resolve issues; provide weekly summaries to POBP.

Employee Relations & Leader Support: serve as initial point of contact; respond to employee questions; handle routine employee relations issues; guide supervisors on consistent policy application; conduct initial fact gathering and escalations; ensure consistency across supervisors and shifts.

Employee Engagement & Events: lead execution of site‑level engagement activities; plan and execute events, recognition and celebrations; manage logistics; maintain engagement calendar; track event spend; gather feedback and share insights.

HR Systems & Data Integrity: maintain accurate People data; support reporting; audit employee data; support HRIS questions; identify trends and insights.

Other Duties: maintain employee communication boards; participate in Safety Committee; support initial workers’ compensation processes; support compliance with training completion, policy acknowledgments, and audit readiness; manage employee swag inventory.

Qualifications

3–5 years progressive experience in HR/People Operations with exposure to employee relations and core HR employment law and processes.

Spanish and English bilingual with ability to translate and communicate complex sensitive information.

Demonstrated judgment and discretion handling sensitive employee, legal, business information.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
