Process Safety Manager .

Manager, Process Safety Management wanted by Wacker Polysilicon North America, LLC in Charleston, TN to manage the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the Charleston site Process Safety Management (PSM) / Risk Management Plan (RMP) along with Wacker Plant Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Leadership and support of the adoption, implementation, and assurance of the PSM/RMP elements across the various Site departments

Manage the application and governance of the PHMSA regulation of pipeline safety

Conduct audits and progress reports of ongoing programs to management to drive continuous improvement

Manage and conduct assessments for Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, Process Safety Information, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews and Incident Investigation Programs

Monitor and ensure record keeping and required reporting its met for PSM and RMP along with other similar regulatory activities for company and contractors

Manage PSM Staff and Mentor Engineers and Operations personnel across the site.

Assist in the classification and tracking of events and corrective actions for Process Hazard Analysis, Compliance Audits, and Incident Investigations

Lead and participate in PSM and Mechanical Integrity management system gap analysis and self-audits.

Drive continuous improvement for the PSM elements and influence individuals at all levels of the site in proper PSM program application.

Share knowledge of PSM and Wacker Plant safety requirements with the responsible parties and perform regional process safety activities as needed in conjunction with the Regional Process Safety Team.

Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a chemical safety-related field and 60 months' experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work experience must include:

process safety and risk management planning

facility operating, engineering, maintenance, and planning processes

ability to identify and communicate PSM and RMP ramifications to large audiences

managing a team

advising on specialized explosion protection and static control processes.

Travel up to 20% to both domestic and international affiliate sites.
