What You'll Be Doing
Train and assist with electrical construction and maintenance on all University secondary electrical systems, lighting systems, control circuits and transformers. Train and assist with the renovation and modification of existing electrical systems. Train and assist in planning layout and installation of electrical wiring for equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and electrical codes. Train and assist in determining material and equipment needed to complete assigned task. Overtime may be required.
Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED. Experience in electrical construction, electrical maintenance, electrical repair, or electrical troubleshooting preferred.
Skills Needed
Perform mathematical calculations
Possess good oral and written communication
Work in adverse conditions such as electrical hazards, extreme cold and heat, confined spaces and working from heights
Ability to lift and carry 50-80lbs frequently, and up to 100lbs or more occasionally
Skills and experience working with secondary electrical systems, lighting systems, and conduit
Skills and experience working with transformers
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Nice to Have
Basic computer skills including familiarity with word processors, spreadsheets, and SAP
Experience with control circuits, generators and PLC's
Skills and experience working with secondary electrical systems, lighting systems, and conduit
Skills and experience working with transformers
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Valid driver’s license
