MAINTENANCE MECHANIC- WEEKENDS

SHIFT: WEEKENDS - Friday to Sun 9:00am-10:30pm
LOCATION: COLD SPRING PLANT
PAY: $26.54 – $28.09 an hour

POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with plant maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the necessary repairs of equipment, property and the building.
Maintain accurate communication to other mechanics and departments.
Support station mechanic and operator basic functions of machinery and equipment.
Effectively use electrical testing equipment.
Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate those to supervisor or lead person.
Initiate and conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) on equipment by self or with minimal supervision.
Maintain shop 6s policies and cleanliness.
Other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations.
Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to pass a Prove It test.
Two years’ experience in the maintenance field preferred.
Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools.
Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures.
Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
