Job Overview
The position of HVAC Install Apprentice/Helper is to deliver exceptional HVAC installation service to customers by completing and installing HVAC equipment and accessories and to ensure all work is performed correctly and reflect Hiller’s values.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Installation Technician with the installation of HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Support Lead Installer in installing HVAC related equipment.
Install sheet metal duct systems.
Connect gas lines to heating equipment.
Cut and thread pipes.
Wire both line voltage and low voltage to heating equipment.
Install copper refrigerant line to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
Must be able to use a computer tablet, smartphone and read a map or follow GPS.
Requirements
EPA Certified or pursuing.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
Prior work experience in the HVAC industry as an HVAC Install Apprentice.
Valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
