Human Resources Generalist - Part Time

This is a

part-time HR Generalist role , averaging

20 hours per week , and is

on-site . The preferred schedule is

four hours on-site each day .

Role Summary
Responsible for the daily execution of human resources operations, ensuring federal, state, and local regulatory compliance. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and management, balancing administrative precision with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management. Works closely with local and global leadership to ensure alignment across the organization. Champions organizational culture by leading employee training, professional development, and team-building efforts.

Employee Relations & Culture

Act as a trusted HR support partner for employees and managers.

Administer employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs.

Act as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding policy questions.

Conduct internal investigations and address employee grievances or conflicts, documenting findings in accordance with legal best practices.

Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.

Organize team-building events and assist with corporate meetings.

Display high moral and ethical standards and act with a high level of integrity.

Incorporate the company vision and values into daily activities and behaviors; help others to become and remain motivated.

Reinforce a company culture that is committed to a high standard of workplace safety.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: job postings, initial screenings, and interview coordination.

Work closely with hiring managers and global HR to ensure alignment.

Facilitate the onboarding process, including background checks, I‑9 verification, and orientation.

Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data for trends.

Maintain accurate recruitment tracking and reporting.

Records & Data Management

Keep the Human Resources Information System up to date with new hires, terminations, and promotions in an accurate and timely manner.

Track and report US headcount to global HR while ensuring HR related budget is closely followed.

Ensure all employee files are organized and compliant with labor laws.

Track and report safety recordables, incidents, and near misses.

Participate in the technical investigation of all workplace injuries. Determine root causes and maintain detailed files for Workers' Compensation claims.

Benefits & Payroll Support

Act as liaison between the organization and the HR service providers and coordinate the administration of benefits.

Coordinate open enrollment periods and benefits education sessions.

Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of wages, bonuses, and deductions.

Track leaves of absence, including MLFC, disability, or parental leave requests.

Compliance & Policy Management

Maintain and update the Employee Handbook to ensure alignment with current FLSA, MLFC, ADA, and EEO regulations.

Manage mandatory reporting, including OSHA logs.

Ensure the organization remains compliant with state-specific mandates.

Ensure local execution is aligned with global HR policies, processes, and standards.

Training & Development

Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.

Track and manage mandatory compliance training.

Coordinate and track mandatory safety training to ensure the organization meets specific OSHA industry standards.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

SHRM Certified Professional or PHR Certification.

Solid understanding of US labor laws (federal and state).

Extensive experience in managing the full-cycle recruitment process.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

High attention to detail, strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Strong communication skills and service-oriented mindset.

Technically adept across Windows OS and MS365 with experience in AI tools.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

Hands‑on experience with LinkedIn Recruit and ADP.

Experience working in a global or matrix organization.
