Position Summary
Hugoton Public Schools USD 210 is seeking a passionate and dedicated
High School Music Teacher
to provide a comprehensive music education program. This teacher will inspire students in music appreciation, theory, and performance while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging music instruction aligned with Kansas state standards.
Teach courses in
music theory, music appreciation, general music, and vocal performance .
Develop students' understanding of music history, styles, and cultural influences.
Organize classroom activities and projects that encourage creativity and participation.
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain and organize classroom music resources and materials.
Collaborate with administration, staff, and parents to support student learning.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Music Education or related field .
Valid
Kansas Teaching License
with appropriate endorsement.
Knowledge of general music instruction, music theory, and classroom management.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching
high school music courses .
Ability to integrate technology or multimedia in music instruction.
Physical Requirements
Ability to conduct classroom instruction and handle classroom resources and materials.
