Field Network Support Technician
Location:
Phoenix, AZ (onsite at client sites daily)
Pay:
$30–$45/hr DOE + full benefits
Insight is seeking a Field Network Support Technician to support clients across the Phoenix area. This role requires working on our customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware, cabling, and workstation systems. The technician ensures reliable network performance and high‑quality service for both internal teams and external clients.
What You’ll Do
Travel to multiple client sites across the Phoenix area each day
Install, repair, and test hardware, peripherals, and system components
Diagnose workstation hardware and software issues
Install, pull, terminate, and label Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, coax, and fiber cabling
Terminate patch panels, outlets, and 110/66 blocks; perform fiber terminations
Install and configure switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPN devices
Assist with network closet audits, cleanups, and documentation
Provide onsite and remote support using remote troubleshooting tools
Complete service documentation, technical notes, and vendor part‑return paperwork
What You’ll Need
Experience with LAN/WAN environments, PCs, and major operating systems
Hands‑on structured cabling experience (copper and/or fiber)
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
Experience installing or configuring switches, routers, and wireless devices
Strong documentation and customer service skills
Ability to work independently at multiple sites daily
Comfortable disassembling and reassembling hardware
Basic scripting skills preferred (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
