Job Summary
Responsible for keeping the cantina clean, organized, and guest‑ready by promptly clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. Supports servers and bartenders to ensure smooth service during busy periods, live music, and sports viewing. Helps maintain the fun, casual atmosphere of El Jefe at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe while delivering a welcoming experience for every guest.
How You Will Create the Extraordinary
Assists the Restaurant Stocker, when needed, to ensure an adequate supply of china, silverware, glassware, and other food service accessories are available at assigned stations at all times.
Assists the Restaurant Stocker in maintaining properly stocked and organized service stations.
Clears tables of all items after guests have departed and places soiled dishware into appropriate compartments of the bus tub; disposes of garbage properly.
Sets and resets tables according to service standards.
Assists the Restaurant Stocker, when needed, by transporting bus‑tub carts to the kitchen and unloading full bus tubs in designated dish areas.
Escorts guests from the podium to assigned tables when required, in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
Removes unneeded silverware and china from tables after guests are seated.
Assists waitstaff and follows direction to promote fast, courteous, and efficient food service.
Becomes familiar with the menu and delivery items to ensure accurate information is provided to guests.
Adheres to and demonstrates principles of excellent guest service and positive interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Literate and fluent in English.
Above average communication and guest service skills.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds.
Ability to push-pull bus carts weighing up to 70 pounds.
Ability to grasp, hold, reach, bend, push-pull, and use a step stool; requires hand‑eye coordination.
Ability to constantly walk and stand during shift.
Mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas.
Ability to hear and use visual inspection.
Proficiency in working in a noisy environment, with exposure to guests who use tobacco products; may be required to enter public areas from time to time.
