Job Description
Job Summary:
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications Required
Appropriate licensure for special education
Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation
Preference for having knowledge and experience in working with children with IEPs
Responsibilities
Plan and implement individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs
Create a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities
Encourage student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate
Employ a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate
Conduct and carry out educational assessments
Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures
Benefits
Pay will be prorated on the number of student contact days. The Teacher contract salary range for the 2026‑2027 school year is $48,733 – $100,583 per year.
Benefit eligibility is determined according to calculated FTE per the teacher contract.
