Position Overview
A highly respected, award-winning law firm with multiple locations across Virginia is seeking an experienced Estate Administration and/or Estate Litigation Attorney to join its team in the Alexandria area. The firm has a large team of attorneys and support staff and is known for its collaborative culture, strong leadership, and commitment to client service. With a strong presence throughout Virginia and a primary hub in the Alexandria area, the firm continues to grow rapidly and is consistently recognized as a top workplace in the region. The firm is looking to add an attorney focused on estate administration and/or estate litigation. Candidates must have relevant experience practicing in a Virginia courtroom setting to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Handle estate administration and probate matters from start to finish
Represent clients in estate litigation, including will contests, fiduciary disputes, and related hearings
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal support teams across the firm's offices
Maintain regular communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Prepare legal documents, manage deadlines, and advocate effectively in contested matters
Requirements
Active Virginia law license
Demonstrated experience in a Virginia courtroom setting, direct experience in estate litigation preferred
Strong litigation and case management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Willingness to commute to Alexandria and other local office locations as needed
