What does a Shift Supervisor do?
As a Shift Supervisor at EVCO Plastics, your daily expectations will revolve around leading your team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee production processes, ensuring that all operations meet our quality and efficiency standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating shift handovers, monitoring workflow, and addressing any production issues that may arise.
You will also be expected to conduct regular team briefings, provide guidance, and foster a positive work atmosphere. Your schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 11 PM to 7 AM, although hours may change to accommodate business needs. This role requires adaptability, as you will need to respond to production demands and team dynamics effectively.
Additionally, you will engage in continuous communication with upper management to align operational goals and performance metrics.

A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is essential to effectively manage teams and operations. Mechanical experience is crucial, as you will be responsible for troubleshooting and optimizing equipment performance.
Experience in injection molding and processing is also vital for ensuring product quality and efficient production workflows. You should be comfortable using various manufacturing software and tools to monitor processes and maintain accurate records. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to foster a collaborative team environment and to motivate your staff.
Additionally, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities will help you address challenges as they arise, ensuring continuous improvement within your team and operations.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
5+ years of Supervisory experience in
2+ Mechanical Experience
